Mon. DEPART USA.
Board your overnight flight to Manaus.
Day 2,
Tue. ARRIVE MANAUS, BRAZIL.
An early morning arrival in Manaus. You
are met and transferred to your hotel.
Explore Manaus on your own or take an
optional city tour.
Day 3,
Wed. MANAUS / BOARD YOUR Amazon Clipper
CRUISE.
A free morning before your afternoon
embarkation. After an orientation, begin
sailing upstream to the Pagodao River.
Just before sunset, enjoy a canoe safari
with chances of observing nocturnal
animals. Also, take particular note of
the remarkable changes between day and
night in the Amazon jungle. (B,D)
Day 4,
Thu. AMAZON RIVER / RAINFOREST WALK.
Begin the day with a guided rainforest
walk with a local naturalist. Next visit
a "Caboclos" family with an opportunity
to learn the local way of life. Then set
sail through the Anavilhanas, the
world’s largest fresh water archipelago.
Tonight seek out caimans, rare frogs,
sloths, snakes and other unusual

Day 5,
Fri. NOVO AIRÃO / LAKE ACAJATUBA.
Stop at the village of Novo Airão, with
its handcraft boatyards and bustling
market. After lunch, visit a nearby
white sand beach for a refreshing swim.
The day ends with a canoe safari on Lake
Acajatuba to learn about the unusual
flora of this region and to fish for
piranhas. Following dinner, there is an
outing on the river to spot caiman in
the river and on the shore. (B,L,D)
Day 6,
Sat. LAKE JANUARY / MANAUS / RIO DE
JANEIRO.
A bird-watching canoe trip at sunrise on
Lake January is not to be missed. This
is also the best opportunity to see the
giant water lilies this region is known
for. Cruise through the "Meeting of the
Waters," before arriving in Manaus.
Transfer to the airport for your flight

Day 7,
Sun. RIO DE JANEIRO. Today you
can choose one of the following
sightseeing tours. (B)
Sugar
Loaf: This tour takes you past
Copacabana and Ipanema, two of the most
famous beaches in the world. Then ride a
cable car up Sugar Loaf Mountain. Your
afternoon is at leisure.

Corcovado:
Tour through the fashionable Barra
District. Corcovado Mountain is next
with its 122-foot, 1,400-ton giant
statue of Christ. Also see the 200,000
seat Maracana Stadium.
Days 8 &
9, Mon. & Tue. AT LEISURE IN RIO.
Two full days in exciting Rio! Spend
time on the colorful beaches and in the
bustling markets. Your local host will
offer an array of optional trips. (B

Day 10,
Wed. DEPART RIO DE JANEIRO.
A free day before you are transferred to
the airport for your overnight flight

Thu. ARRIVE USA.
You arrive home today.

Day 1 ARRIVE IGUASSU FALLS.
Upon arrival, you are met and
taken on a tour of the Brazilian
side of the Falls. Transfer to
your hotel. You are free the
rest of the day to explore this
magnificent panorama of
waterfalls.
Day 2 IGUASSU FALLS. With
a free morning you may want to
take an optional outing to the
Argentinean side of the Falls.
Then transfer to the airport for
