Itinerary

Day 1 DEPART USA.
Board your overnight flight to Buenos Aires.

Day 2 ARRIVE BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA.
Upon arrival in Buenos Aires, you are transferred to your hotel. The balance of the day is free in this city of broad boulevards, sidewalk cafés and monuments.

Day 3 BUENOS AIRES.
Sightseeing of this grand capital will show off its European heritage and South American flair. This evening, enjoy Argentina's famous beef and delicious wines and watch a spectacular presentation of the sensuous Tango. (B,D)

Day 4 BUENOS AIRES.
A free day in this lovely city, known as the "Paris of South America." Your local host will have suggestions of things to do and see. (B)

Day 5 BUENOS AIRES / BARILOCHE.
Transfer to the airport for the flight to Bariloche. Afternoon free. (B)

Day 6 BARILOCHE.
Sightseeing takes you along the shores of Lake Nahuel Huapi. Stop at the Chapel San Eduardo, on around Moreno Lake and arrive at Lopez Bay. End with a chairlift ride to a lookout point at Cerro Campanaro. The rest of the day is free. (B)

Day 7 BARILOCHE / PEULLA, CHILE.
Depart for the first leg of your crossing. View alpine scenery as you make your way to the Chilean border. Travel over Lake Nahuel Huapi and past Victoria Island. Continue by launch along Lake Frias and pristine wilderness adorned with lush forest and towering snow-capped peaks. Overnight in the lakeside village of Peulla. (B,D)

Day 8 PEULLA / PUERTO VARAS.
Continue crossing the lake district by ferry to Petrohue and then by coach along Lago Llangquihue. Look to the south and see the towering cone-shaped Calbuco Volcano. On to Puerto Varas. (B)

Day 9 PUERTO VARAS / SANTIAGO.
After a morning tour of the seaport, travel to the airport for the flight to Santiago. On arrival, transfer to your hotel in downtown Santiago. (B)

Day 10 SANTIAGO.
Begin sightseeing of Chile’s capital city at the civic center and the La Moneda Palace, home to many presidents. You will also see Plaza de Armas and the Cathedral Metropolitana. End your tour at the colorful Central Market. The rest of the day is free. (B)

Day 11 DEPART SANTIAGO.
A free day. Perhaps take a tour through Chile’s wine country or to the historic port of Valparaiso and the chic resort of Viña del Mar. Later tonight transfer to the airport for your overnight flight home (rooms are reserved for late checkout). (B)

Day 12 ARRIVE USA.
You arrive home today.
