Day 1
DEPART USA.
Your journey begins as you board your
overnight transatlantic flight bound for
Cape Town.
Day 2
ARRIVE CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA.
Upon arrival in Cape Town, you are met
and transferred to your hotel. The rest
of the day is at leisure for you to
explore on your own.
Day 3 CAPE
TOWN.
Depart on a full day tour of the Cape
Peninsula, driving along the Atlantic
seaboard via Hout Bay. Visit Cape Point
Nature Reserve and then stop to see the
lovable penguins at Boulders Beach.
Drive back to Cape Town through the
historic naval town of Simon’s Town. (B)
Day 4 CAPE
TOWN.
After breakfast, walk down to the Nelson
Mandela Gateway and board a ferry for
your cruise to Robben Island. A guided
walking tour stops at the maximum
security prison where leaders such as
Nelson Mandela were imprisoned. Continue
to the northwest corner of the island,
scene of many shipwrecks, and past the
WWII military airfield. Transfer by
ferry back to Cape Town, where the
balance of your day is free. (B)
Day 5
WINELANDS EXCURSION.
Delight in an exciting day of discovery
on your private tour of the Winelands.
Visit the quaint towns of Paarl,
Stellenbosch, and Franschhoek, stopping
along the way for wine tasting at
well-known estates. The lovely town of
Franschhoek, in the heart of the Cape
Winelands, lies in a green valley
surrounded by mountains. On your
afternoon visit here, stroll through
town, admiring the 17th and 18th century
architecture, with Cape Dutch, Cape
Cottage and Victorian style homes. Your
evening is free in Cape Town. (B)
Day 6 CAPE
TOWN / LION SANDS GAME RESERVE AT KRUGER
NATIONAL PARK.
Transfer to the airport for your flight
via Johannesburg to Kruger National
Park. Upon arrival, you will be met and
transferred to your private game lodge,
located in the southern part of the Sabi
Sand Game Reserve. Set on the banks of
the Sabie River, this deluxe lodge
offers comfortable accommodation with
outstanding views of game along the
riverside. Check-in and relax before
departing on your first safari this
afternoon. Experience Africa’s wildlife
from an open Land Rover with your game
ranger sharing his intimate knowledge of
the bush. (B,L,D)
Days 7 & 8
LION SANDS PRIVATE GAME RESERVE -
KRUGER.
Two spectacular days in Kruger National
Park. Start each day with an early
morning drive. If you are fortunate, you
may be able to spot a multitude of
animals including elephant, lion,
buffalo, rhino, leopard, and cheetah,
together with a wealth of antelope,
birds and reptiles. Each afternoon,
depart on another thrilling game drive.
All of your meals will be served at your
lodge. Another drive at sunset completes
each day. (B,L,D daily)
Day 9 LION
SANDS PRIVATE GAME RESERVE / DEPART
JOHANNESBURG.
After an early morning wake-up, take
your last look at Kruger’s wildlife.
Then transfer to the airstrip for your
flight to Johannesburg, where you will
connect with your overnight flight home.

ARRIVE USA.
You arrive home today.

On arrival in Johannesburg, you
will be met and transferred to
your hotel.
Day 10 JOHANNESBURG / VICTORIA
FALLS, ZAMBIA.
Fly to Victoria Falls and
transfer to your hotel. Enjoy a
cruise on the Zambezi River
aboard the African Queen. (B)
Day 11 VICTORIA FALLS.
Tour Victoria Falls from the
Zambian side. Then visit the
Mkuni village, where you can
experience local African life,
and the Livingstone Museum.
There is also time to shop at
the Maramba market. Your
afternoon is free and your local
host will have plenty of
suggestions for things to see
and do. (B)
Day 12 VICTORIA FALLS / DEPART
JOHANNESBURG.
Perhaps take the optional
"Flight of the Angels" for a
bird’s eye view of the Falls.
This afternoon, fly to
Johannesburg for your onward
flight home. (B)
Day 13 ARRIVE USA.
