Day 1
DEPART USA / GUATEMALA CITY / ANTIGUA.
Upon arrival, you are met and privately
transferred to your hotel in Antigua.
The balance of the day is free to relax
or begin exploring on your own.
Day 2
ANTIGUA.
Your half-day private tour will cover
the architectural and historical
highlights of this colonial city, with a
behind-the-scenes look at some of the
many churches, convents, and cathedrals.
This tour is flexible; if you have
specific sights that you wish to see,
your guide will be happy to accommodate
you. The afternoon is at leisure to
explore Antigua on your own and shop for
Guatemala’s famous arts and crafts. (CB)
Note: Market days in Antigua are
Sat., Mon. and Thu.
Day 3
ANTIGUA / LAKE ATITLAN.
Start the day with a private transfer to
Lake Atitlan. On arrival, meet your
boatman and guide and glide across the
lake to the village of Santiago. Along
the way, marvel at the surrounding
landscapes, especially the volcanoes.
Your guide will show you around the
village and if you like, you can visit
the Maya God Maximon, an interesting
smoking and drinking effigy that locals
revere. Often a shaman is contracted and
you may see a ritual being performed. (CB,L)
Day 4 LAKE
ATITLAN / CHICHICASTENANGO / FLORES.
Travel through the highlands to the
famous market at Chichicastenango. Full of
artisans, this market is great for
displaying the wide array of local
crafts available
in Guatemala. Also, look for the Maya
rituals being performed in the Catholic
Church. Then transfer to Guatemala City
Airport in time to catch the flight to
Flores in the northern rainforest region
of the country. (B)
Day 5
TIKAL EXCURSION.
An early morning start to explore the
UNESCO “Heritage of Humanity” listed
ruins at Tikal, where
huge Mayan temples rise above the jungle
canopy, and noisy monkeys and colorful
birds are abundant in the surrounding
rainforest. This afternoon fly back to
Guatemala City where you will be met and
transferred back to your hotel. The
balance of the day is at leisure.
Tonight, perhaps try one of the
restaurants and bars of the lively Zone
10 area. (B,L)
Day 6
FLORES / BELIZE CITY / SAN PEDRO /
AMBERGRIS CAYE.
This morning take the short flight to
Belize City where you connect for the
flight to San Pedro on Ambergris Caye.
On arrival you will be met and
transferred to your hotel. The rest of
the day is at leisure to relax by the
pool, stroll along the beach or to
explore the bustling village of San
Pedro with its shops and excellent
restaurants. (B)
Days 7 & 8
AMBERGRIS CAYE.
Two full days for you to relax and enjoy
the ambience of this beautiful island.
Life here is casual and carefree. The

in the world. This is a paradise for
