ARRIVE IN BARCELONA, SPAIN.
Welcome to Spain! Upon arrival, you will
be met and transferred to your hotel.
The rest of the day is at leisure to
relax or begin exploring on your own.
Day 3
BARCELONA.
Barcelona is a charming and diverse
city, set on the northeastern
Mediterranean coast. A temperate
climate, sandy beaches, wonderful art
and architecture, and excellent cuisine
make it an enticing getaway. Your
half-day tour of Barcelona gives you a
quick overview of its delights. Explore
Plaza de Cataluna, Via Layetana, the
cathedral and its cloister, the Gothic
Quarter, and Plaza Sant Jaume. Continue
on to the Villa Olimpica and the Port
Olimpic for a walking tour. Then up
Montjuich Mountain for a panoramic view
of the city and harbor. You will see the
Stadium, Palau Sant Jordi and Calatrava
Tower and visit the Poble
Espanyol (Spanish Village).
Here you have a chance to taste Catalan
Cava, the renowned local sparkling wine.
On the way back to Barcelona, enjoy a
stop at the famous Hard Rock Café. The

BARCELONA.
A full free day. Shop, stroll down
beautiful Las Ramblas at your own pace
or join one of the optional excursions

Day 5
BARCELONA / MADRID.
This morning, transfer on your own to
the Barcelona train station for your
trip to Madrid. Upon arrival, transfer
on your own to your Madrid hotel. The
rest of the day is at leisure. (B)
Day 6
MADRID.
Today’s morning city tour of Madrid
includes a drive past such well-known
avenues as Gran Via and Castellana;
famous squares, Plaza de Espana, de
Oriente, Mayor, Puerta del Sol, Atocha,
Neptuno, Cibeles, Puerta de Alcala,
Colon and Plaza de Castilla; the
historic quarters of Austrias, the
Borbouns and Salamanca, the famous del
Oeste, Casa de Campo and Retiro Parks;
the commercial and financial areas, the
University Campus, the Bull Ring and the
Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, home of the
famous Real Madrid football team. The
tour ends at Colon Square, where the
